News on Yorkshire and Humber Climate Action Plan

Yorkshire and the Humber’s coastline and seas are of significant cultural, economic and ecological importance, and while many of us in the region may not feel that close to the seaside, everything we do on land impacts the ocean. 

That’s why our next survey is dedicated to our marine environment. 

In consultation with specialists working in this field, we’ve looked at how the region can protect and restore these important habitats off our shores, making sure the marine environment is central to decisions about planning and development.
